Jennifer Van Der Woerd
Jen is a creative person who finds art in all things, from nature and music to vintage and junk. Wanting to share a love for all things creative, Jen reached out to her community to find others similar in mind and with a passion to give back. After spending many years working in the fashion industry and for larger corporate organisations, Jen is looking forward to a more relaxed work life, filling her days helping others learn new art forms, create close relationships with her community and feel connected to Torbay's beautiful surroundings.
Jan Lunt
Jan became addicted to arts and crafts later in life. Having made greetings cards and scrapbooking for a number of years she has recently branched out into watercolour painting, crochet and quilting. She is very happy to share her knowledge of paper crafts with others who may be interested to join in.
Helen Dilley
Helen has always been an enthusiastic creative, willing to try her hand at everything. She is a card maker and experiments with watercolour and acrylic techniques but her greatest passion is mixed media on canvas and journaling.
She has recently been working on small mixed media projects for everyone to enjoy. Helen is looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing knowledge within our community.
Ruth Cuzner
Ruth's first memory of crafting is making a dress at the age of around 8. After years of dressmaking she started cross stitch, then tried knitting, crochet (epic fail !), card making, scrap booking to name a few. A friend then convinced her to sign up for a beginners quilting class at Long Bay about 12 years ago. Since then she has also tried mixed media and fabric art, fabric printing and dyeing, upcycling clothing and anything else that looked like it might be fun!
Tanya Webb
Tanya spent most of her career in the corporate world. After having 2 children, who are now in primary school, she decided not to return to full time work and instead spent a few years in a part time role. It was then that she found her passion for Macrame and upcycling furniture.
Starting a Macrame business in 2019 called The Stranded Knot allowed her to follow her crafting dream. She is often found at markets selling her pieces or searching through op shops.
Tanya looks forward to welcoming you and sharing her Macrame ideas and talent with any like-minded crafters.
